Favorite kiddos, favorite cookies.

My favorite gaggle of kiddos, Elka, Isaiah and Silas, have found a new favorite friend: Schaeffer.  I'm okay with it, although I will begin to feel a little put out if I need to start asking for hugs and kisses hello and goodbye.  So far, they still run up to give them out to both of us when we walk in.  Phew.
Menu:
Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (#129)
My favorite cookies are oatmeal chocolate chip, hands down.  Normally when I suggest cookie-making to the kids, they jump at the chance to eat fight over whose turn it is to put an ingredient in the bowl, eat bits of dough along the way and lick the spoon and bowl while we wait for the cookies to cook.  Operative word being normally, as in when Schaeffer isn't there.  So while Elka and Isaiah played pirates, pretended to be rock stars, read books and generally wore out Schaeffer, Silas and I baked cookies.
Getting rock-band-ready.
Is there a more perfect way to spend an afternoon?  I think not.
Picnic style cookie eating in the dining room.
Lots of chocolatey kisses to be given here.

171 to go...
